New Evidence
On November 24, 2003, Rudiger Investigations discovered two vertebrae on a small ledge inside the cave. The vertebrae were subsequently matched to the subject. On re-visit to the site, December 7, 2003, Rudiger Investigations discovered an exterior location on the west wall of the cave where a rib and vertebrae were discovered beneath a large rat nest. These items appear to have been moved by animals onto the ledge inside the cave (where the bones were discovered on November 24, 2003) and the bones then transported into a nest area approx. ten feet down the ledge and outside the shelter. Full excavation of the nest area is anticipated. Photographs are listed here.
